കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ പട്ടത്താനത്തു സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പുരാതന ഹിന്ദു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് പട്ടത്താനം ശ്രീ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ സ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം. ശ്രീബാലമുരുകനാണു ഇവിടത്തെ മുഖ്യപ്രതിഷ്ഠ. ഉപദേവതമാർ ശ്രീ മഹാഗണപതി, ശ്രീധർമ്മ ശാസ്താവ്, നാഗരാജാവ്, നാഗയക്ഷി. തന്ത്രശാസ്ത്ര വിധിപ്രകാരം നിത്യ പൂജകളും, ആചാരങ്ങളും അനുഷ്ടാനങ്ങളും, ഉത്സവാദികളും നടക്കുന്ന അപൂർവ്വം സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ സ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലോന്നാണിത്. കേരളചരിത്രത്തിൽ സുവർണ്ണലിപികളാൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ട ഒരു ചരിത്രം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനുണ്ട്‌.

A Hindu temple known as the Patthatanam Sree Subrahmanya Swamy Temple is located in Patthatanam, Kollam district. The main deity here is Lord Bala Murugan(Young Muruka). It is one of the rare temples where daily poojas, rituals, customs, and festivals are conducted. This Murugan temple, situated in the heart of Kollam town, is a refuge and comfort for many devotees. The temple has a history that deserves to be recorded in golden letters in the history of Kerala.
